• Professional Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above in oil and gas storage and transportation, corrosion and protection, metal materials, electrochemistry, and applied chemistry; have good professional technology and related knowledge of corrosion and anti-corrosion. Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• English level good, able to write professional English reports, fluent in oral English; good communication skills and organizational skills.
• Skills and Qualities:
1. Familiar with the process flow of oil and gas transmission and distribution, processing system, corrosion control and evaluation;
2. Collection and analysis of the project technical specifications issued by the Oil /Gas Company and International Standards Bodies etc. (EN, ISO).
3. Liaising continuously with major material/equipment suppliers regarding the latest developments in technologies.
4. A research background in corrosion monitoring, corrosion control or evaluation of oil and gas pipeline equipment, practical engineering applications or scientific research is preferred;
5. Able to analyze and evaluate corrosion products and scale samples, and propose anti-corrosion and anti-scaling measures;
6. Able to carry out chemical agent evaluation and optimization;
7. Corrosion inspection of equipment and facilities, failure cause analysis and maintenance suggestions;
8. Monitors the corrosion coupons and probes already installed indicating the level of corrosion. Reviews the gathered data, investigates corrosion problems, recommends material changes, and selects new corrosion monitoring points and sites.
9. Prepares and reviews painting-coating and lining procedures for new surfaces or previously coated surfaces such as tanks, piping, and equipment.
